Lead Pastor
Cindy Lapp (she/her)

Ordained in November 2002, Cynthia Lapp has been pastor at Hyattsville Mennonite Church since the spring of 2003. She studied music at Eastern Mennonite University and theology at Wesley Theological Seminary. Marriage, mothering three children, and seven years working at Women’s Alliance for Theology, Ethics, and Ritual (WATER) continued her education.  Cindy loves the people of Hyattsville Mennonite Church and the work they let her do. She is active with Congregation Action Network, which supports immigrants, and is a community chaplain with the Hyattsville Police Department. She is still learning to be anti-racist and contemplative.
